ONOS currently provides table types for FlowRules to be classified as and for table transition. This issue with this approach is that we need to enumerate the table types which could lead to confusion.
The idea here would be to define flow manipulation primitives expressed as collections of selectors and treatments. The primitives be:
- Filter
- Forward
- Group
- Punt
These manipulations would then be used by a device driver to produce correct multitable rules for the specific device.
